Trading Mode

The Trading Configuration panel allows you to fine-tune how your AI agent manages trades. While all transactions are simulated during the beta phase, they are executed using real market data, enabling risk-free strategy testing.

Simulation Mode (Currently Supported)

During beta development, only Simulation Mode is available. This feature is a key innovation of the Nexgent platform, providing a controlled, risk-free environment to test agent performance without using real funds.

How Simulation Mode Works

Nexgent has developed a custom ledger that replicates existing blockchain layers to track transactions. This ledger:

  • Uses real market transactions ingested from live blockchain RPC nodes.
  • Processes real agent signals to execute trades in a simulated environment.
  • Ensures that trading decisions are based on actual market conditions.

How Trade Execution is Handled

While simulation mode aims to reflect real-world trading, some factors—like slippage and market impact—cannot be fully accounted for. To reduce discrepancies, the following safeguards are in place:

  • Before executing a trade, the agent checks the token's liquidity.
  • Trade sizes are calibrated to prevent excessive market impact.
  • No trade is executed if it would cause more than a 1% price impact.

These measures ensure that trade execution closely mirrors what would happen in real market conditions.

Live Mode (Future Development)

Live Mode is currently locked but is planned for release in the future.

Why Live Mode is Not Yet Available?

Launching Live Mode requires extensive testing, security audits, and infrastructure development to ensure:

  • Seamless execution across real exchanges.
  • Capital protection through robust risk management.
  • Integration with liquidity providers to optimize trading conditions.

By using Simulation Mode, traders can safely test strategies, refine agent behavior, and optimize trading decisions before real funds are introduced.
