Trading Mode

The Trading Configuration panel allows you to fine-tune how your AI agent manages trades. While all transactions are currently simulated during the beta phase, they are executed using real market data, enabling risk-free strategy testing.

Simulation Mode (Currently Supported)

During beta development, only Simulation Mode is available. This feature is a key innovation of the Nexgent platform, providing a controlled, risk-free environment to test agent performance without using real funds.

How Simulation Mode Works

Nexgent has developed a custom ledger that replicates key aspects of blockchain behavior to simulate trade execution. This system:

  • Uses real market transactions ingested from live blockchain RPC nodes
  • Processes real agent signals to simulate trades in near real time
  • Ensures decisions are based on authentic market dynamics, including prices, volumes, and activity patterns

How Trade Execution is Handled

While simulation mode aims to reflect real-world conditions, some variables—such as slippage or impact on liquidity pools—cannot be perfectly replicated. To maintain accuracy:

  • Agents assess token liquidity before any simulated trade
  • Trade sizes are adjusted to avoid excessive market impact
  • No trade is executed if it would result in more than a 1% simulated price impact

These controls ensure that simulation output is as realistic and reliable as possible.

Live Mode (Potential future Feature)

Live Mode is currently unavailable and is planned for future release, pending multiple phases of development and review.

Why Live Mode Is Locked

In addition to technical readiness, the activation of Live Mode is contingent on:

  • Completion of extensive testing and security audits
  • Development of robust capital management and safety infrastructure
  • Integration with liquidity providers for smooth, efficient execution
  • Regulatory approval and compliance with applicable financial laws

Nexgent is committed to launching Live Mode only when it meets the highest standards of safety, transparency, and compliance for users operating with real funds. There is no guarantee of this feature at this time.

Why This Matters

By starting in Simulation Mode, users can:

  • Test and refine strategies with zero capital risk
  • Analyze agent behavior in real market conditions
  • Build confidence and optimize configurations ahead of full trading capabilities

Simulation Mode ensures that when Live Mode becomes available, your agents—and your strategies—are already battle-tested.
